WOMEN ON STAGE WITH A MESSAGE OF PEACE

"War always loses!"

Patricia Ariza

In the fourth edition of the "Tradition-Transmission-Transgression / Women of PEACE" gathering, actresses, directors, playwrights, producers, professors, and designers from around the world will come together. They will share experiences and reflections with the participants and the public, both in terms of performance and theoretical and methodological perspectives, on the role of women as peacebuilders. They will analyze and highlight their roles and specificities in macro and micro conflict contexts, particularly through the adoption of a new paradigm and a new mode of non-violent communication based on the concept of agonistic peace.

In the Autonomous Community of Castilla y León, women will take to the stage, occupy squares, visit schools, and other meeting places to conduct workshops, roundtables, screenings, performances, concerts, and other activities that will engage the local community in a collective reflection on the concept of peace.

PLANNED ACTIVITIES for the Meeting

Throughout the week, the invited artists will conduct multidisciplinary activities focused on developing a reflection on the role of women in dialogue and peacebuilding processes. The planned activities will be directed at the participants who will attend the entire encounter on a residential basis and at the public of all ages who will attend the performances. The activities will be held in both open and closed spaces to ensure accessibility for everyone.
