The Territory in the City 2017

The door opens and the theatre steps onto the street where people are waiting, where the art needs to propose, to enchant, and to transform.

The actors, dancers, musicians and artisans together with the rest of the neighbourhood will fill the streets of Acacias and Embajadores neighbourhood with their art on the 1st of October from 12pm till 9:30pm.
From its earliest days, Residui Teatro has realized theatrical routes on the street and other unconventional spaces (such as metro, buildings on the outskirts of Rome, old huts of the small villages, etc.), with the intention of transforming what Marc Auget defined as no places in the spaces that gain a new significance for its citizens.

Thanks to the collaboration with the local organizations, theatre and dance groups and the students of CAAE, the art will claim the streets in order to transform into a community act.

POPULAR DAY

From 17,00 hrs there will be activities organized by the local groups and associations: Galera Capoeira; La revoltosa - Huerta Urbana; Eliseo Parra y las Piojas; Tango con Clave 53; Pasión Flamenca, as well as the contribution in form of the performances given by the students of Residui Teatro. During the day there will be a common meal, handcrafted games will be set up and organized by Fabrizio Baiocchi (Italy), as well as the activities for the children*. The day will finish with a big final performance directed by Luis Ibar (Cartaphilus Teatro-Mexico) where will take part all participants of the project “Formation without boundaries”, co-financed by Erasmus+, and a lot of artistic groups of the district.
