GREEN UP

Art, Ecology and Sustainability

Green Up” is an international project created to promote awareness and respect for the environment and nature through the Performing Arts.

Art is a powerful tool for sharing, communicating and triggering transformation processes that can mobilise and generate active participation. Beyond informing (a task more developed by scientists and some media), Performing Arts reconnect us with the essential roots of being human, our belonging to nature and necessary connection with the rest of the elements and organisms that cohabit our planet.

Young people in various parts of the world are pronouncing and taking a stand to look for solutions and express the urgency in which our planet finds itself.

This is why representatives from eleven international theatre organizations that use the arts as a vehicle and a tool to share their concerns and needs that matter our community will meet in Madrid.

From April 26th to May 2nd

Green Up” is a Project coordinated by Residui Teatro that engages various European organizations, such as: Asociacion CualCuiera (Spain), Stowarzyszenie Edukacyjno Spoleczno Kulturalne TEATR BRAMA (Poland), LES SOUTERRAINES (France), Associazione culturale collettivo lunAzione (Italy), OMMA STUDIO (Greece), Stichting ZID (The Netherlands) , Word & Voice (Ucraine) ,"Laboratorio Permanente di Ricerca sull'Arte dell'Attore (LabPerm – APS)(Italy)", Make It Better (MIB)(Portugal), MUOVIMENTE Cooperativa Sociale (Italy).

This project is co-financed by the Erasmus + Program and it is also possible thanks to the support of the European Solidarity Corps and the Arganzuela District.
